Preschoolers, ages 2 1/2 to 4 1/2, are really discovering life. They're feeling the power of words in their communication with others around them. They are gaining much better control of their bodies as their gross motor movements become smoother and more coordinated. The doors of life are popping open for them one after another and this makes learning fun and enjoyable for both them and their parents. Everything is new and interesting for them. This is a delightful phase of life that enables parents and teachers to provide the best kind of training and education possible. It is here at this stage of life, that the foundation blocks of character are laid in the life of the child.

Preschool activities include art, music, outdoor play, stories and songs.

Kindergarten, ages 4 1/2 to 5 1/2, provides advanced educational training that will prepare them for either Kindergarten or 1st Grade. Many times children stay at Little Footsteps until they start 1st grade at their local school.
